Next Practice Programme Service OfferThe Innovation Unit would seek to co-construct a tailored Next Practice Programme of work which addresses a priority need of yours. Over the past three years, The Innovation Unit has made a key contribution to the evolution of public service innovation and improvement. We have developed a powerful methodology to stimulate, incubate and accelerate innovation which is strongly driven by users' needs. This approach is known as Next Practice. It is built on the evidence base around what makes for effective innovation in public services. It especially places creative practitioners at the forefront of the process (rather than theorists or researchers) and works to support them to develop radical innovation with attention to the preconditions for effective scaling up. Generative innovation - Next Practice work - is far from being the only game in town. In the effort to achieve transformed public services, incremental innovation, scaling up and diffusing good or best practice must be basic and central constituents. However, we believe, as you do, that this alone is insufficient. It has to be accompanied by the drive to invent and discover new ways to achieve new levels of outcome. Our Next Practice Innovation Model would underpin our approach to working with you to generate the radical outcomes you are seeking. Example of a Current ProjectThe Innovation Unit is working with the Paul Hamlyn Foundation to look at Next Practices in curricular or cross-curricular models of learning and pedagogy. More information on the project can be found here.
