Musical Futures |
This Musical Futures pack helps to deliver co-ordinated music learning, as advocated by the Music Manifesto. It consists of four sections: introduction to personalising music learning; classroom resource for informal music learning at Key Stage 3 (with CD-ROM and audio CD); the whole curriculum approach - inclusive music practice at Year 8 (with DVD-ROM) and a guide to personalising extra-curricular music for 11-18 year olds. Practices featured include the use of other 'music leaders' within the classroom and after-schools projects led by community musicians or music services. Musical Futures brings extra-curricular approaches into the formal curriculum. A key theme running across the Teachers' Resource Pack is collaboration between schools, music services and non-formal sector organisations. To order the pack, go to the Musical Futures: Teachers Resource page in the Online Publications section on TeacherNet. For further information on the pack, visit the Musical Futures website.
