KS2/3 Transition in ICT

These awards were launched at the BETT Exhibition in January 2004 as a way of getting collective insight by investigating a particular learning challenge (in this case Key Stage 2-3 Transition in ICT) through disciplined innovation.

The award winning projects were as below.  Please note that this page is under review.

• Year 6 Students working on an Internet-based radio station, with the Help of Year 7 e-buddies
• Exchange of Information between Staff and Students in Cluster Schools, including e-buddies
• Creating a Resource Bank in Year 6 which will be used for Presentations in Year 7
• Video Link between the Junior School and the High School and Videos about both Schools
• Introduction a Common ICT Curriculum and Teaching Approach for Years 6 and 7
• Cross-phase, Multilingual TV Programme for KS-TV
• Video and/or Radio Programme made by Year 7 Students about the Transition Process
• Collaboration on a Video about the Transition Process
• Expression of Feelings about Transition using Technology
• Transition Project to be Completed by Year 6 Students
• Collaborative Working on a Science Investigation
• Collaboration on a Video about Concerns and Opportunities in Transition
• A Model for Collaborative Learning
