Next Practice in Resourcing Personalisation - Jeffrey Threlfall

Tribute We were very sorry to learn that one of the country's leading headteachers has died. Jeff Threlfall, Headteacher of Wildern School, had been undergoing intensive cancer treatment. Whilst at Wildern, he saw exam results and standards improve. Pupil numbers and academic achievement had doubled, with 84 per cent of pupils gaining five or more A* to C GCSEs last summer, and the school is now one of Hampshire's consistently top-performing schools. Ofsted declared Wildern to be outstanding during its inspection last year and singled out Jeff Threlfall for his inspirational leadership. Wildern is one of our field trial sites for Next Practice in Resourcing Personalisation.

Jeffrey Threlfall at the Teaching Awards in 2006 In 2006, Jeff Threlfall won the Teaching Award for Headteacher of the Year in a Secondary School.

Our sympathy goes to his family. See some of the tributes paid to him by his colleagues in the newspaper articles below.
