Next Practice in Communities for Learning - National Launch and Exchange Event

Launching our 11 Field Trial Sites

Delegates at the Next Practice in Communities for Learning Launch Event The Innovation Unit, in partnership with the Training and Development Agency for Schools, welcomed representatives of the 11 field trial sites to the National Launch and Exchange Event for our Next Practice in Communities for Learning project.

 

 

 

Jim Knight Jim Knight, the Minister of State for Schools and 14-19 learners, joined delegates on 27 June 2007 at Westminster Central Hall in  London.

The event was the beginning of a period of structured working between The Innovation Unit and practitioners from all the field trial sites.

 

In his address to the conference Mike Gibbons, Chief Executive of The Innovation Unit, talked about the distinctiveness of Next Practice from centre-led and top down reform programmes and outlined the Next Practice Innovation Model.

Delegates at the Next Practice in Communities for Learning Launch Event We'll be exploring the best of what's currently happening in schools, and going beyond, to imagine and develop what will be Next Practice in education, and also exploring how this can be the flagship for system-wide transformation.
